User:Generateodtbot
This bot is generating translated odt files for a given worksheet and language. It downloads the English odt file, searches for each translation unit and replaces it with the translation. Afterwards it uploads the translated odt file to a dropbox file and notifies the user who requested it by using the Special:EmailUser feature. Then a translator just needs to check it, adjust the formatting and afterwards upload it.
For the user documentation see 4training:Creating_and_Uploading_Files. This page describes gives some more technical references.

Setting language
In the style "Default Style" the following settings are made:
- set language for the font (either in Western Text Font, in Asian Text Font or CTL Font)
- for right-to-left languages set writing direction to "rtl" and alignment to right
Setting font
For some languages / scripts other fonts can give better results than the default Arial (we use "Gentium" for Kannada and Malayalam for example). If that's the case, you'll see a notice in the email report. Make sure you have this font installed if you edit the generated LibreOffice file.
FAQ
The tool is giving different warnings. Here you find some notes on frequent warnings:
Warning: Problematic search string detected! Please check and correct. Replaced [A] with [B]
A rare situation where the bot caused a problem in the translated file. Search for [B] to find where something got messed up. Delete it there and add it where it should go to.
Potential problem: short search string. This can be totally normal but please check. Replaced [A] with [B]
If [A] is normal content and [B] is just the translation of it, everything should be fine. Search for [B] to see if every occurrence of it is at the correct place.
