Church as a family

當我們接受神的恩典和聖靈時，我們就成為神家庭的一員。 每個屬靈的孩子都需要成為屬靈家庭的一部分。上帝是我們的天父，所有的信徒都像是同一個家庭里的兄弟姐妹。「這家是永生神的教會...」 （提摩太前書 3:15）。這個家庭不是一個建築物，「教會」不是一個崇拜的地方，而是一群信徒。

Church as a body

We are the body of Jesus – that’s how the New Testament describes the relationship between Jesus and His followers. A body means that everyone is a part and has a special role. Jesus is the head; we need to be connected to Him so that He can coordinate everything and lead us. We’re supposed to work together just like a body does. That way we resemble Jesus and He can work through us.

Church as a team

A team is a group of people who decide to work together for a common vision. They train together and do whatever is necessary to reach the goal. Jesus wants His church to be united for His kingdom. He shows us who we could build a team with and who should train us.

In the New Testament, the word 「church」 is used in three different ways:

1. All the followers of Jesus in the world (the global 「body of Christ」)
2. All the followers of Jesus in a city / a region
   Example: the 「church in Jerusalem」 (Acts 11:22)
3. A group of followers of Jesus that regularly meet together
   Example: the 「church in the house of Priscilla and Aquila」 (Romans 16:5)

Baptism

與耶穌的結合：洗禮

「洗禮」一詞是指「沉浸，淹沒」為清潔或洗滌的目的。正如耶穌受洗一般，每個相信祂的人也應當受洗。耶穌在馬太福音的結尾命令祂的跟隨者：「... 奉聖父聖子聖靈的名，給他們施洗。「（馬太福音 28:19）
